There's No Place Like Home....

We arrived in PA on Thursday at 4:25pm (after a long two-day trek).  The girls couldn't wait to get out of the car and see Abuelo.  When Noelie saw him she said "Ohh!! Abuelo! So happy to see you!" It melted my dad's heart.  And when my Mom arrived on Friday from Puerto Rico, the girls went bananas.  Noelie refused to go to bed unless Abuela slept with her!

Friday and Saturday were spent unpacking and unloading the truck into a storage unit (with the help of the amazing Knights).  Thankfully, the girls have adjusted very well.  They have their own room with big girls beds and they love it!  All their toys made the trip and they have some new additions as well so they are happy campers.  But best of all was when Titi, Auggie, Isabel and Teresa came over on Sunday.  The girls haven't seen their aunt or their cousins since they were babies so it was a very big deal - for all of us!  Miabelle was instantly Isabel's number one fan!  And Noelie followed Auggie around like a shadow!  Teresita shared her toys with the girls and even got them to share their toys with her!  All in all, it ranks as one of the best days of my life.  Being back with my family, all of us sitting around the table eating, drinking, talking...those are the moments that you remember - and miss - most.  And finally being able to share that with the girls means so much more than I could ever have imagined.

Oli has been working like a dog since we got back, but he did manage to spend Sunday with us as well which made my day even better.  But he's back in NYC again, doing the rat race and logging 15 hour days at the office.  Boy I bet he misses Cincinnati!!!  I know I sure miss my partner, and the girls definitely miss their papa.  But for now, he's gotta focus on work and the girls and I will have to manage without him for a little bit.  Thankfully, los abuelos can't get enough of the giggly Gillier girls!

Tomorrow we are off to the pool to try and beat the heat, and later this week Auggie, Isa & Tere are coming back so it will be an awesome weekend!  Los abuelos and I had better rest up!  With all 5 kids running around the house all weekend, we're definitely gonna need it!!
